The
E-Commerce Payment Gateway validates, logs and forwards the
transaction to the bank for processing. When the bank has processed
the transaction, it is returned to the E-Commerce Payment Gateway,
which logs the transaction.
An enciphered response containing the transaction details and
authorization reference information is then sent to the E-Commerce
Merchant Server. The Merchant Server deciphers the transaction
and forwards the response to the virtual shopping product. The
entire transaction process occurs in a matter of seconds. |

The ECommerce solution provides the merchants with a high-degree
of flexibility including:
i) Multi operating systems – the Merchant Server Software
is readily compatible with various operating systems that can
support the Java platform including Windows NT, Linux, Solaris,
IRIX, AIX, HP-UX and BSDI;
ii) Multi e-commerce applications – the Merchant Server
can be interfaced with various shopping carts from off the shelf
to custom built shopping carts, to effectively support a wide
range of B2C and B2B transactions;
iii) Multi payment sources – Merchants can choose to accept
credit card payment from Visa, MasterCard, JCB*, Amex* and Diners*.
iv) Multi acquiring banks – Merchants can establish merchant
accounts with any of the banks connected to Camtech.Skali’s
Payment Gateway;
v) Multi currencies – the Payment Gateway also supports
multi-currencies, subject to the acquiring bank supporting multiple
currencies.
vi) Multi hosting options – the Merchant’s web server
can be located anywhere and connected to the Internet via any
ISP;
vii) Multi web platforms – Camtech’s Merchant Server
Software can readily integrate to any web platform available
today.
viii) Multi delivery channel – The ECP services is able
to support all types of delivery channels other than the Web,
such as set-top boxes, Interactive Voice Recognition Protocol
(IVR), Wireless Applications Protocol (WAP) |

What
platforms support the Merchant Server software?
The Camtech Electronic Commerce Merchant Server is available
for any operating system that supports an appropriate version
of the Java runtime environment such as:
Windows
NT, 2000, XP
Unix and
associated variants, and
Macintosh

How secure are transaction details?
The Camtech Merchant Server uses 1024 bit RSA/56 bit DES encryption,
which is considered to be unbreakable, to ensure that transaction
details are protected. |
What card types does the Camtech Gateway support?
Camtech Gateway supports MasterCard and Visa (depended to the
Acquiring Bank). |
What is a digital certificate?
A digital certificate is an electronic document that is passed
between a browser and a server, in order to verify the identity
of the sender's identity. |
Can Camtech handle multiple simultaneous transactions?
The Camtech Gateway has been designed to deal with this scenario
and can handle several transactions processed by the same merchant
at the same time. |
Is a transaction via the Internet secure when being sent to
the Camtech Gateway?
Using industry standard SSL, or equivalent, a secure link is
established between a shoppers browser, and the Camtech Gateway. |
What transaction types can the Camtech Gateway perform?
At present the Camtech Gateway can perform both captures and
refunds. A query status transaction type can also be performed
to determine the status of a previously processed transaction.
Again, this is subject to the Acquiring Bank. |
What validity checks does the Camtech Merchant Server software
perform on transactions?
The Camtech Merchant Server software checks basic field validity
before sending a transaction to our Payment Server. We check
that all mandatory data has been entered, as well as validity
of fields such as the credit card number, expiry date, and amount.
Merchants are not charged for transactions that do not pass
these basic tests.
